How can you create a platform where news meets carriers' advice for people aged 15-18?
the solution:
‘Need to know’
As a group, we created a visual identity alongside unique touchpoints to help the users to better engage with our vision. Our concept was to encourage the development of soft skills via the debate deck card game. This card game encourages friendly debates and allows generation Z’s a way to challenge topics and express opinions, which grows their verbal and social skills.
BRand GUIDELINES
When creating the visual identity for Need To Know we considered the target demographic and how we could create a brand that would feel new and exciting. This idea originated with the insight that if you place a square root symbol on any rectangle it will turn the above section into a speech bubble symbol.
Social media assets
We created a digital asset, which is a collection of social media stories. These are interactive and encourage people to debate, by giving them a collection of questions and opposing viewpoints.
physical touch point
We created a touch point that allows you to do that without the need for technology or a screen. This debate deck prompts topics with both for and against perspectives. Which encourages friendly debates and dialogue.
"Industry employers have seen a decrease in personal conversational skills. It is the lack of soft skills development within, the current education system that this approach targets."
