i am Ella

A creative graduate with an eye for detail; a passion for designing strategy lead branding.

Hello there! I am a recent graduate from Arts University Bournemouth's BA Graphic Design program. As a modern graphic designer, I excel at solving creative problems. My passion is capturing the essence of a brand and creating a successful visual identity. I take great pride in my work and approach every project with strategic thinking and creativity. My goal is to make a positive impact on the world by producing work that truly captures the essence of a brand.

When I'm not working on design projects, I enjoy living life to the fullest and trying new things like ice skating or kayaking. I have a daring spirit that pushes me to think outside the box.

I am highly skilled in using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign. I also have experience with experimental software like Procreate and After Effects. I am always eager to learn and expand my proficiency with new programs such as Cinema 4d and Figma.

Industry Experience:

  • As part of the creative team at TrustedHousesitters, I had the privilege of developing their brand identity and contributing to the current success of the company. The experience provided me with valuable skills that proved vital to developing the rationale behind TrustedHousesitters.

One of our most notable projects, which was a testament to my hard work, could reach up to 3 million people. This is why I owe a large portion of my growth to the team at TrustedHousesitters.

  • As a graphic designer, I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of businesses throughout the United Kingdom. Freelancing has allowed me to hone my design skills and develop effective strategies to deliver the best possible outcomes for my clients.

Working with tangible clients has been a valuable experience, as it has required me to meet specific goals and requirements. This has helped me to thrive under pressure while also learning to follow directions and guidance to achieve the desired results.

  • I worked on advertising for the company, Frouds Bridge Marina. When working with a reputable business allowed me to experience how people interact in a business setting.

The time working for Frouds Bridge Marina encouraged my observational skills as I created an advertising project which included photographing the location at different times of the year and observing its natural beauty.

The work I did with this company had a long preparation time but a fast turnaround, this trained me to work well under pressure and adapt and mould to the experiences around me.

  • During my time at Arts University Bournemouth, I had the chance to participate in live briefs with clients, which was an incredible opportunity. As a freelance graphic designer for the university, I collaborated with students and staff to work on a variety of projects for different courses. One such project was Green Space Dark Skies, where I worked with interior architecture.

These experiences allowed me to demonstrate my design skills on a variety of briefs, including the branding for the Hardy Wessex exhibition. Taking on additional work helped me broaden my skill set and gain the confidence to tackle more diverse projects.
